These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on BMW Talk. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.
We will not tolerate any kind of spamming on the forums, ie: links to or details of products for sale on other
websites.
We will not tolerate posting of pornographic/offensive pictures that may offend other forum members.
No user names that are websites or contain offensive words.
Bannable offences without warning!
Opening multiple accounts.
All Spammers will be banned for life with no second chances.
Threatening behaviour towards other members.
Racism, abuse or general bigotry will not be tolerated.
Single warning offences or restricted access!
Abuse of other forum members either on the forum/chat or using the pm system.
No advertising of or linking to any items/goods on the forum unless you have asked an administrator first....
Including EBay items!
No personal attacks: don't flame, troll, insult, harass, threaten, rant, etc.
Posting up of sick or perverted images and links that others may find offensives.
Signatures violations and advertising of any business in the signature or avatar
Forum Etiquette - IE: How you should conduct yourself on the forum.
Keep thread titles direct, descriptive and accurate.
Be respectful to new members asking questions - we were all new here once.
When asking a question, try to provide as much information as possible.
Do not create multiple threads for one topic/question.
Use caps and repeated punctuation wisely. THERE'S NO NEED TO SHOUT!
Keep signatures limited to 5 lines of text, and limit signature images to 500 wide x 110 high.
Bumping threads is fine, but be sensible. Once or twice usually .
Please use the PM system to contact a moderator if you believe a thread or post is in violation of the forum
rules. Moderators will then act accordingly.
Alternatively, you can use the 'report post' feature to inform moderators (the exclamation mark icon found in
the top right hand corner of each post).
Please use the search facility and try to avoid posting duplicate threads about questions that have already
been answered.
Remember the Golden Rule: treat others as you would like to be treated.
Keep posts relevant to the topic being discussed in each thread.
Do not post personal information about other members.
Do not publicise private conversations between yourself and other members.
The site administrator has the right to amend these rules at any time.
Administrators will always have the final say in any and all of these rules and everything not covered by
these rules on a case by case basis. #
